In 1999 we were three girls driving from Molde to Hammerfest. Two weeks on the road along the coast. I had bought my first car and started driving again after 20 years. Britt Mari had been driving once or twice a year and Hege did not drive at all. Yes – we felt brave. We had a great trip visiting Senja and Lofoten, and I will never forget crossing the fjord from Senja to Andøya. Laying flat on a bench listening to all the passengers that became seasick.
In Hammerfest I got my first and last parking ticket. An I bought the most amazing glass ornaments. Four of them in different shapes and texture. The glass is so thin and they have survived all my moves. No Christmas in my home without the ornaments hanging in the window. Representing hope, bravery and guts.
