Colour! Or is it color?

Anyway – colors always challenge me. I have no taste at all when it comes to color. Most of the time I wish I could burn all the pink cloths – because looking through the photo files all I can see is pink. Pink is so…challenging.

I was enjoying my breakfast this morning when Nic Howard sent us an inspiration mail. A photo with some cute lush pink stash. Just as much inspiration as my two pieces of dry bread with two slices of cheese:)

Still – I logged in to elements and played with the pink…

No story. Just a color play and the fact that I do love her.

Moving on to her grandmother…

Melbu – 1974.

My sister in-law. I have the album for her youth. You know the album where every third photo is missing because there was a boyfriend or something:) Most of the photos are really bad but I have learned to work with what I have. Never mind my sister in-law. Look at the house. This house is not like any house I have seen in Norway so I had to ask about it. The house is in Melbu – in North Norway and was built after the war in 1945. The bricks came to Norway as ballast on a ship from England. Looking at the photo in 2010 it remind me of a Halloween-house.

This is where she came to live the first time away from home. Starting her education as a tailor. I guess she had a dream – maybe in fashion?

It is kind of hard to remember that this is how she looked when she moved into my childhood home two years later – with the same cloths and the poster.

This first week in Nic`s class is all about red – so red it is.

What fantastic photos and LOs. Sometimes you don’t need many words to convey what you want to say. Love you, speaks volumes xx

Oh, I love your pink layout. Who needs words all the time? The photo speaks to us!
What an amazing stone house–it looks so sturdy.
Great use of red on the sil page 🙂
I would love to hear more about your activity in Nic’s class. I considered taking it, but was feeling too overwhelmed with the holidays coming up.
