Scrapbooking me

In 2005 we had a new baby in the family and in 2006 and 2007 I made a lot of scrapbooks. Back then I didn`t know anything about scrapbooking. It was albums with photos and stories. Late 2007 I discovered the online world of scrapbooking and January 1 2008 I made my first page and uploaded it to the online gallery at Big Picture Classes. For the month of January I made one page every day during Lain Ehman`s fir LOAD challenge. I also made the first pages about me…

Letter size, one photo and a few words. Inspired by Simple Scrapbooking and I am sure it was a lift from someone who knew what they were doing. I have few photos from my childhood, not many stories and no one to ask. Maybe that is why it is important to me to document our story of today.

Thanks to inspiring classes at Big Picture Classes I have made a few pages about myself. Like Lisa Day`s class  “The Challenge of Me”…

So many find it a challenge to tell their own story. I can`t say I am one of them. The question is if I making the right pages? Do I tell the right story…

Do I tell anything at all…

I read so many things in this page but I honestly doubt that anyone else is. Then again – I had fun making the page and I know what it was all about.  There has been pages with stories that ment more to me…

My grandmother, my mother and me. Three generations – so different yet we have so much in common.

In 2009 I made “Me-The Abridged Version” in Cathy Zielske`s class at BPC…

So much fun. An album filled with 52 pages – all about me, and at the end I was sure I had told it all. There were no more stories to tell so I focused on today…

Focusing on today is also good. A lot easier to remember  and if you need a photo – bring out the camera.

Last year I joined a class called I-Scrap at BPC – using sentences like I am, I believe, I went and so on. As always Stacy Julian`s classes are challenging in so many ways but I finished this album and I love it. I was…

…always at work and missed out on the fun.

So – am I up for 12 month of focusing on me? Funny thing – I was worried about Stacy challenging me with colors because that is not my force. Now – I am being challenged to create and be inspired to make pages about me:) I wonder…

I have really enjoyed reading this lovely post and am inspired by your photographic and scrapbooking abilities – that one of you with the camera is just superb. A whole year of focusing on oneself – especially if one has had to be absent from one’s own life for a while – sounds like a necessary adventure and I, for one, will be showing up to read along. 🙂
