How to substitute for the real thing

Taking Heidi Swapp`s class at BPC is so much fun. I only wish I could get her products here in Norway. I have been waiting and waiting but nothing and every time I try to order from USA they are sold out for the things I want the most. This should not be a problem because Heidi is teaching us how to make our own thing but her products are so cute.

I would have been okay if I had ordinary file folders but online they come in packs of 100 and they are not that cheap:) So the next thing up is to go with what I have…

I have yet to decide if I want to keep the flap or to cut and add a tab. For now I am working as if I was to keep the flap. Cutting the mini book to add inside was a nightmare. I am not about perfection at all but cutting those pages by hand was nerve-wrecking and I got it all wrong. But no way am I ditching all that pattern paper because of a small mistake:) Of course I had to do my own thing and use the sewing machine to put the mini book together and now I don`t know how to attach it to the folder. Well there is always glue:)

The vellum-print came out okay but the sheet of vellum I had was impossible to cut – so it did not turn out the way it was supposed to be. I can live with that. The file folder is boring so I used a punch and added a little stamping…

…and a little misting…

Once I was good at cutting the smallest things but these days – not so much. I love Heidi`s title work and since I can`t cut png.files I had no choice…

Half way there and the worst is yet to come:) Oh, the challenges I accept…

I love the idea of these file folders but man…this is so much work.

Oh my, that’s a lot of careful cutting-out work to do! Hoping it brings you satisfaction when it’s done – though it’s looking very nice from here, despite your frustrations with it!
