Week in the life – ready to work with the album

Almost ready to work on my album. The photos are printed…

I have worked my way through every single print and purged once and twice…

I felt good about my purging until I saw these two photos lined up together. Still to many photos don`t you think? Oh well, having more than a few is a good thing when you realize that you have to make one more page to have a smooth passage into a new day:)

From the start I knew that I wanted to use a WRMK 8,5×11 3-ring binder…

…but I have to admit that I doubted when I viewed the photos. So many photos and I loved every one of them. I had to work hard ditching more than 30. Working with 12×12 would give me more room for photos. In the end I opted to use the same size as last year – 8,5 x 11. Love to work with this format.

Finding a paper line to work with was a lot more frustrating. For weeks I have browsed the online shops to find something I love. Nothing. Here in Norway the scrapbookers are obsessed with this type of paper…

Beautiful paper but not so good with my everyday photos and not for a about 50 pages. I would love to find Crate Paper, Amy Tangerine, Heidi Swapp, Hambly and many more but all the online shops have the same brands. I always shop at home to be supportive because there are so few shops left but they are making it really hard for me to do so.

Last night I finally decided on the Studio Calico Basic…

Nothing cute about this but it will go with any photo and I just might add some splashes of colors as I go. One more thing – even the cardstock is a challenge. Nowhere to buy 8,5 x 11 size so I have to cut down the  12 x 12. Every page. So boring and more expensive.

The paper will not be here before after the weekend but that is okay. I have a lot to do before I need paper:)

Like cleaning up the mess from my last project, work on this week`s assignment from Heidi Swapp`s class The art of observation – about love! Fun. I finally broke down and ordered Memory Files from USA…

Wish I could wait for the new summer line but I couldn`t stand to wait any longer and these was the only one available. The good thing? I can add whatever color I want:)

The village has other things to prepare for – May 17. It is spring. It is cold. Sometimes there is sunshine to be seen….
