Summer at Viva Bahia Mallorca

This summer vacation at Viva Bahia was a lot about learning for all of us. The princess learned to swim. She learned to swim from a lovely English-speaking German girl. Who would have thought that the princess could take instructions from a young girl whom talked a language she didn`t understand…

She was in and out of the water all day long. After three hours with the teacher she would stay afloat without those much disliked things around her arms. Brilliant idea to have a swimming teacher at the pool. By the way – the princess earned a few new names during the vacation; Princess don`t want to…

…and sometimes she qualified to be called; La Prima donna…

Sometimes La Prima donna is the nicest big sister but most of the time she wants to have the last saying.

He learned to shave…

I don`t know who was the proudest – the little one or the older one, but he do look confident…

Being confident came in handy when his grandma invited him to go swimming in the adult pool at midnight. He was very aware that he was doing something forbidden:)

This one learned the value of money…

That could be a good thing but all he wanted was somewhere to put the one euro coin. What happened then was not that important. Lets just say that he need a lot of euro coins:)

He also learned to appreciate his kind mother after seeing that there are different kinds of mothers…

Sometimes it was hard to stay awake during dinner but he was a pro with the bottle…

So – what did the rest of us learn during our family vacation at Viva Bahia this summer…

Well, we have done this before – but being seven adults and three kids is a first. So much is about keeping the kids happy. Cranky and sick kids is a mood killer when the sky is blue and the heat is overwhelming.  One thing for sure – every one of those seven adults have an opinion about how to keep the kids healthy and happy:) And we don`t always agree.

We now know that we need a few days to settle some routines because routines works wonders at any vacation resort. And ones we have the routines down everyone can work their way around those routines.

I think we could do this another time. Maybe not next year but…
