In May Flaum`s class “Kit-tastic” we were challenged to make a kit for a mini album or a theme album this week. I had a mini album waiting in line and I have all those color magic memory files from Heidi Swapp I love so much I can`t get my self to use theme. It was time to take a deep breath and dig in…
Just the thought of that first spray of mist makes my heart beat faster…
I used a pink glimmer Mist because the album is for a little girl but it was to light so I added Dylusions red spray ink. Sometimes I am brave!
I covered the back of the folder with paper and added mist, some stamping and embossing to the front. I cut paper in different sizes to make the insert for photos…
Of course I got to brave and tried to add embossing at the front of the folder. That was a lesson learned. Thankfully there would be more lessons to learn so you could say one mistake covered for the next one:)
The insert was sewed and I used glue and the sewing machine to make sure the insert stays inside the folder.
At the front of the mini I added a piece of Bazill clear sheet…
Perfect for adding a title. I used a lot of paper trying to make on of Heidi Swapp`s titles but my cutting machine kept eating what ever I fed her so in the end I had to make my own title…
I had chosen the photos weeks ago so it took minutes to glue them in. On the other side I made a pocket for the rest of the photos. My thoughts about this was that maybe the mother would want to add some photos in her own album…
About now I realized that I had used the wrong set of photos. I had a lot more photos I wanted to use here. Heidi Swapp`s memory files are made for covering up your mistakes. All I had to do was adding one more file. Or as I did – a half file…
Neat – now no one can see my accident with the embossing:)
On the front page I made space for a thank you note. The album is for one of the cute flower girls in my nephew`s wedding in August. She was so cute and there were so many beautiful photos of her so I just had to make something for her…
On the next page I made a single photo stack…
Next up is the original folder…
The first page in the mini-folder…
I`m not sure if I am finished with this Memory File but I`m worried about messing up more if I go on adding to this…
Loved working with this and I forget what it was I loved about them:)
This is so beautiful! What a wonderful gift!
Oh I absolutely LOVE your album! What a great gift from your heart!
