We don`t always have snow this time of year but I hardly remember waking up on Christmas Eve with not even a trace of snow or ice. My brother and me stopped at our parents grave to light a candle…
We always talk a lot about our mother during Christmas. Something about Christmas time that make us talk about her and wondering about what her thoughts would have been about our family and our way of life.
We celebrated Christmas Eve in our childhood home where the next generation have set roots…
La primadonna welcomed us to their home…
There is no other word for her than primadonna 🙂 and she knows how to live up to her nickname…
Kristian was very worried about the numbers of gifts and the fact that 70% of them was addressed to baby Anton…
And yes – he had counted and touched every one of them…
We have dinner at 5pm Christmas Eve and while the “Kitchen staff” deals with the clean up the kids get to open a gift or two. This year grandpa was in charge of that event…
It has been two years since we celebrated Christmas Eve with the kids and they have grown and become a little more patient. Even with the excitement they was more calm than before 🙂
I loved the way Kristian stated: “This is the best Christmas – Ever” every time he opened a gift. He got everything he wanted and more…
…and they were happy for each other…
It wasn`t fair but I kept focusing on Kristian because he was so happy and content all evening. I couldn`t get enough of him…
Grandpa`s tire was cut of to fit this young man 🙂
Baby Anton was happy with the first gift he got and he was not that eager to open another…
Much later he got the hang of it…
He worked hard, drank hard…
…and he knows his tools…
It was a happy boy going to bed that evening…
“A mustache kind of Christmas”…
…and that was kind of fun…
Even the adults had fun with those…
We are easy to entertain 🙂
Kristian gave the finest gift to his mother…
When we admired his work he said: Oh, that was easy – just bits of paper and glue.
Too bad it is late in the evening when it is all over because like most boys they just have to put it all together. Good thing he has a dad and an uncle that love Lego…
La primadonna used my camera and played with the timer…
She was good at it. Although I do have about a hundred selfies to deal with and I am not sure I like the attitude I see there. It`s so…Instagram inspired 🙂
A good Christmas Eve.
Beautiful!!…….. AND your Mother is beaming that wonderful smile and would be so very proud of all she sees.
